BOMBSHELL HAIR WITH SULTRA

So Fashion Week just finished up and we've already found a look we're dying to wear. At the Versace Spring 2011 runway show, we watched models with shiny, voluminous, full on Bombshell hair walk the runway in va-va voom looks that will definately turn heads.

The effect is a smidge sixties, a tad edgy, and reminds us of our love of big beautiful
hair. We love the look so much we've decided to recreate it using the ultra haute clipless  curling iron THE BOMBSHELL by Sultra - it's the ultimate hairstyling tool that curls, add volumes and maintain flyaways! Most importantly it will transform you from an everyday dame to a runway worthy Vixen!

THE BOMBSHELL by Sultra —$130 available at sultra.com—is a shiny (and…. ahem…. slightly phallic)  clipless curling rod that comes in 1-inch size,  heats up evenly for consistent curls or waves. It features an auto shut off control in case you forget, glove (so you don't burn off your manicure) and a little heat protectant cloth so that it won't burn your countertop. The versitale curling iron is uber easy to use and the secret weapon to achieing the Versace look!

Luckily, you don't need a professional stylist on hand to copy this hair with a few tools, maybe some music to get you in the mood and these tips you can have this look too!

How To Get Bombshell Hair

Tools Needed :

Get Your Glam On With Sultra
1.) If you're a newbie, or if you're in a rush, throw a heat-proof glove on. Sultra's iron comes with one so that you can touch the iron and not burn yourself.

2.) Point the tip of THE BOMBSHELL downward and wrap a one-inch section of hair around the barrel, winding it away from your face.

3.)  Let it sit for 10 seconds, then release.

4.) Use the sectioning clips and pin the curls (pictured above)

5.) Repeat on all of your hair.

6.) Lightly mist your hair with the Fashion Work 12 Versatile Working Spray

7.) Remove all the clips from your hair.

8.) Flip your head over and break up the curls with your paddle brush out.

9.) If you have flyaways (like the model pictured below) use THE BOMBSHELL to control it (my sister over at Deesse Magazine discovered this addtional use of THE BOMBSHELL) take the iron and gently stroke the flyways (as if it was a brush and your flyaways will disappear).

10.) Last but not least take the Shine Flash 02  Glistening Mist and give your ultra haute mane a blast of high shine!

This is my all time favorite kind of hair! Unfortunately, by hair is pin straight, takes forever to curl, and doesn't hold the curl very long once it's done! BUT, i did see a toll similar to the Bombshell that was $250 that I wanted to try..but this option is so much cheaper that I may have to give it a try!!
